Dell 1600n - Don't Sit Around Waiting For Prints
The Dell 1600n Printer is a top notch multifunction laser printer. It has an integrated 22ppm laser printer. The drawer and output slot for the most part protect the paper. The Dell 1600n looks less cluttered in a home office than a standard printer. The fax fits right into the device and is easy to use.
The Dell 1600n can put copies of 2 or 4 source documents on a sheet of paper, or can turn a single sheet into a 3 sheet by 3 sheet blow-ups by clicking one button. This is a great option and can be very useful. The set up of different formats and sizes could not be easier.
The Dell 1600n has a built in web server which uses standard html and lets you configure everything through the USB or by using the front panel. The printer will apply the proper analysis for the incoming data automatically. The 1600n comes with 32MB of internal memory and can be expanded to a maximum of 160MB.
The scanner and output are fast, and only take around 10 seconds from pressing the copy button to the first copy, and under 5 seconds for the next copy. You need no warm up time when you fire up this computer. Once you scan a document, you can either save it to the computer as a file, or to e-mail, to an optical character recognition program, or as an image.
As far as printers go the Dell 1600n Printer is one of the best. The printer is great for a home office or small business. The features are far superior to that of other printers in its class. The all in one aspect makes it much more useful to any user. The easy interface is obviously a plus because it has a low learning curve. The speed is the true test of this printer and it passes with flying colors. The quality of output is excellent. The 1600n Toner is affordable and does not need to be changed often. SD card has problem in Dell?
SD card works in camera. It also works in Toshiba sattelite with windows 7. If I put the card in my new Dell 15Z-Win/7, it asks to format it. So I bought a new 4GB SD card for testing. Dell-same result. Toshiba-no problem. Formatted in Toshiba. Dell can't format new SD card with FAT, exFAT, OR NTFS. It doesn't have FAT32 option. Toshiba will format in any format including FAT32 option. Do to this testing, I don't believe there is a problem with the SD card. Also, my Dell will format a XD picture card with no problem, so I don't think the Dell is the problem.
Most likely need to have the card in the camera and use the data transfer cable that came with the camera.
