Can I use the same hard drive loaded with Ubuntu on two different computers?

I have a computer with no CD-Rom or floppy that I want to use as as a NAS. Can I install Unbuntu on one computer then pull the drive to use on the second computer? Will the drivers adjust automatically to the second system? (the first computer is fairly new and the second is an older PIII system)

yes ubuntu is also for the old computers, and will work on the old 286/386 systems, providing you have enough memory. drivers will not be an issue

I have been reading about Xubuntu it is said that is better for the older systems, and will run on 128 meg of ram and a 20 gig hard drive .... Do some research into Xubuntu, and or make a server out of one with Ubuntu server edition

you should also consider joining the ubuntu user group and forums where you will get all the help and support
