Looking At The Fujitsu Tablet PCs
First of all Fujitsu Tablet PCs are actual personal computers. They aren't gimmicky toys or simple internet access devices. They run Windows 7 Pro, not a cut down version or a slapdash tablet only operating system. Buying a Fujitsu is jumping in the deep end, and the deep end feels good.
The fact that Windows 7 is the base you are working from here means that you don't have to learn new programs and purchase a half-functional app. Everything that you're using now will work just fine on your new tablet. Everything that you're working on now can be transferred quickly and easily, and anything you create can just as easily pass back to your laptop or desktop.
There are two styles available. The convertible offers a full keyboard with touch sensitive screen and DVD/Blu-Ray drive. The slate is a tablet proper. Convertibles offer larger screens and more ports and peripheral options.
A convertible is able to deliver much greater performance and storage capacity because of it's larger size. On both counts they are able to compete with laptops. For those who really need that extra power at their finger tips and don't mind a little extra weight and size this is the way to go. They aren't quite laptop size, and the touchscreen means no mouse to set up or annoying touchpad. If you need the performance you can afford a bag to carry it around in.
There's no reason to get something with the same functionality as your cell phone, so that's not what's on offer here. Similarly if you are looking to just watch movies, stream videos or browse the web while your favorite tunes pump through your headphones then you will likely end up with a lot of wasted potential in your hands. These machines are for the people who can't afford to not be working and connected even when they're away from their desks.
These devices have some of the best technical specifications on the market. The amount of storage is huge and can be augmented by the full size SD slot with ease. The processors roundly beat out most of the competition. They've opted for faster single cores here instead of slower dual cores. There are up and downs to this choice, and you'll have to navigate them yourself.
All the options carry full speed wi-fi connectivity. They won't connect to a cell phone network, but almost everywhere you might need to pull this thing out will have wi-fi anyway. The Windows platform also means seamless integration with your home or office network. Bluetooth is also supported, so you can use your headset during all those video conferencing calls. Yes, there's a webcam as well.
Fujitsu has brought the computer experience right to your hands. They have USB ports and powerful processors. You can run your professional programs just as they are and the internet is a wi-fi connection away. That experience puts these devices on the higher end of the price scale, but you do get what you pay for.
