how would this computer do running wow?
i currently have a dell dimension B110
1 gig ram
Intel Pentium 4, 2.8 ghz
Radeon x1300/1550 graphics card
now im wanting to be able to run wow better and i know i will need atleast a duo cpu, but i cant decide if i should upgrade my computers motherboard, cpu, ram, and graphics card or just buy a new computer if i upgraded it, it would probably look something like this
intel core 2 duo cpu
4 gigs ram
nvidia geforce 9800 GE graphics card
how do u think a computer with these specs would run wow?
Well of course that's going to be much faster than what you have now.
I doubt you'll be able to use the same motherboard if your going to make that big of a processor change. Check the specification on both and make sure the sockets are the same. The same holds true for the RAM and the video card. If I were making that many changes, I would just go ahead and get a new motherboard.
I just did a quick search on both those cards, and unless that mother board is PCI Express 2.0, the 9800 will not work. Furthermore, I wouldn't go with a 9800. There are just far to many equally good video cards around that cost less.
