Cool Personal Computer Hard ware

From low cost HP notebook computers. Yes, it is indeed cool seeing all those electronic components come together to create a Computer. But the 'cool' in the title refers to the system that you have installed to keep the temperature of the PC at a minimum. If you own a personal Computer in your home then you probably know the importance of keeping the whole Personal Computer system cool. Heat is probably one of the most dangerous elements to your Desktop Computer.

Your Computer Parts can be cooled with the simple fans and having cooling vents in your Desktop Computer case. There are, however, some cooling systems that use special liquids to keep the processor heat down so performance and overall integrity of the Components is not compromised. The level of cooling system that you use on your personal Desktop depends on how insane your Parts, how insane you customized your components and how insane you are using your personal Desktop Computer. The more work you do with your PC the harder the Computer components work and the more you need some coolant to keep the heat at or below the threshold.

Now for bigger systems like Computer networks of big companies, you'll find that they use a more extreme cooling system. Now these big Computer networks use big servers that need to have a sustained temperature of around 72 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Plus the humidity should be maintained as well. According to experts, an ideal humid environment should be 45 degrees. One could go to up to 60 percent that anything beyond that is totally unacceptable. And of course, these cooling systems should be capable of running round the clock and should have backup power supplies in case of the primary breaks down. You cannot afford to loose all your company data due to something that you could have prevented in the first place.

Housing your large components like big Computer servers needs some planning as well since the structure itself can be designed to allow the free flowing of cool air which adds to maintaining the temperature at low levels. Consider having mesh front and rear doors for server cabinets since the design allows hot air to freely escape from the server.

Some who can afford install chiller systems which use glycol or plain water coolants. These kinds of cooling system for your PC Components are made up of combinations of chillers, pumps and pipes. With this system you will need a bigger space and regular maintenance is absolutely necessary.

Is this cool or what?

how to design a digital camera?

i want to find a company that makes the digital camera parts (I.E. mother board) so that i can design the outside (casing) parts for it; i want to have my own unique camera.

Check with a local camera repair shop. They have access to all the parts you will need.

PhD Studentship in Engineering Change, Design Group, DDEM, Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology (OpenUniversity.ac.uk)

Complex engineering products are often designed through a series of
incremental changes on components and subsystems. Margins are designed into
these components and subsystems and specify how much design parameters exceed
requirements. This PhD investigates the role that margins play in (i)
controlling how change propagates through parts of a design and (ii) informing
product and platform planning.

The PhD is carried out in conjunction with the Volvo group. You will be based
at The Open University in Milton Keynes, but will carry out detailed case
studies in Sweden and work with other PhD students in the Volvo group. You
must be confident both in a commercial and an academic context. The work
requires skills in carrying out case studies as well as mathematical modelling

The topic will suit candidates with a background in engineering, particularly
mechanical, automotive and aerospace engineering, or mathematics, at a 2(1) or
1 level with a Masters degree or equivalent experience.

The PhD will start on 1 April 2012 or as soon as possible afterwards.

Potential applicants should contact Dr Claudia Eckert or Prof Chris Earl for
informal discussions or enquiries.

The studentship will provide a stipend (currently the minimum is £13, ...
